Prayer of consecration to Mary

O Mother of Jesus, and my Mother, let me dwell with you,
cling to you and love you with ever-increasing love.
I promise the honour, love and trust of a child.
Give me a mother’s protection, for I need your watchful care.
You know better than any other the thoughts and desires of the Sacred Heart.
Keep constantly before my mind the same thoughts, the same desires,
that my heart may be filled with zeal for the interests of the Sacred Heart of your Divine Son.
Instill in me a love of all that is noble, that I may no longer be easily turned to selfishness.
Help me, dearest Mother, to acquire the virtues that God wants of me:
to forget myself always, to work solely for him, without fear of sacrifice.
I shall always rely on your help to be what Jesus wants me to be.
I am his; I am yours, my good Mother!
Give me each day your holy and maternal blessing until my last evening on earth,
when your Immaculate Heart will present me to the heart of Jesus in heaven,
there to love and bless you and your divine Son for all eternity.

Novena To Our Lady of Lourdes

Go to Mass and Holy Communion at least once during the novena.
It is also recommended that you receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the novena.

Mary,
Our Lady of Lourdes,
You appeared in the hollow of the rock of Massabielle
To Bernadette, a small and simple shepherdess from Bigorre.
You brought her the radiant light of your smile,
The gentle, resplendent brightness of your presence.
Day by day, you built a relationship with her
Where you looked at her like one person talking to another.
We, too, come here before you in our poverty, and we humbly pray to you.
May those who doubt discover the joy of trust,
May those who despair sense your discreet presence.

Mary,
Our Lady of Lourdes,
You revealed your name to Bernadette
By simply saying “I am the Immaculate Conception”.
May we discover the joy of a forgiveness that never falters,
Instil in us the desire for a rediscovered innocence and a joyful holiness.
Help the blinded sinner.
You who gave birth to the Saviour of the world,
Look tenderly on our beautiful but tragic world.
Open in us the path of hope,
Guide us to the One who is the Living Source,
Jesus, your Son, who teaches us to say
Our Father.

Novena to Saint Bernadette Soubirous

Dear Saint Bernadette,
Chosen by Almighty God as a channel of His Graces and Blessings,
and through your humble obedience to the requests of Our Blessed Mother, Mary,
you gained for us the Miraculous waters of Spiritual and physical healing.

We implore you to listen to our pleading prayers
that we may be healed of our Spiritual and physical imperfections.

Place our petitions in the Hands of our Holy Mother,
Mary, so that She may place them at the feet of Her beloved Son,
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
that He may look on us with mercy and compassion: (Make Petition)

Help us, O Dear Saint Bernadette to follow your example,
so that irrespective of our own pain and suffering
we may always be mindful of the needs of others,
especially those whose sufferings are greater than ours.

As we await the Mercy of God,
remind us to offer up our pain and suffering for the conversion of sinners,
and in reparation for the sins and blasphemies of mankind.

Pray for us,
that like you, we may always be obedient to the will of Our Heavenly Father,
and that through our prayers and humility
we may bring consolation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary
that have been so grievously wounded by our sins.
